Unlike a lot of pre-schools we looked at, we were allowed to come in and sit with him for the first 15 minutes of each day for the first couple of weeks. This really helped him to adjust to the school and it helped us feel at ease for the rest of the day knowing that he was happy. The school felt like a home from home, not just for him but for all of us, and we always felt very included and up to date with what was happening in the school on a daily basis. Our child has some health issues relating to his lungs and this was always given the attention it required from the staff. They made sure he was never knowingly exposed to germs brought in by other children. Finally, I feel that the values of the Watering Whole exactly aligned to how we want to bring up our children; with respect for themselves, each other and the environment.
